Hello again 👋🏻 Camelia here, from inside your trusted Pamphleteer events calendar. Please check out the 🎧 Spotify Pamphleteer's Picks playlist; I lovingly update it weekly with the best bands playing around town. It's an easy way to expand your horizons and find out if a band you might enjoy is playing this week.

Here are some highlights from the upcoming shows this week in Nashville:

On Monday Chuck Prophet will be at City Winery with his four-piece acoustic country-rock road band.

Foreigner will be returning to Ryman Auditorium on Tuesday. Personally, I have a hard time not thinking of Carl from Aqua Teen Hunger Force whenever anyone mentions Foreigner. I also have a hard time not noticing that Ryman Auditorium used to list the ticket prices up front on each event page but now, you have to click through several pages to be granted the privilege of discovering your custom pricing.

While you wait "just a moment" to "ensure a fair fan experience" and "verify that you are a real person," you can spend this time wondering if you will find $94 tickets or $146? Should you go to the library or maybe a homeless shelter to use their IP address to purchase more affordable tickets? I'm not entirely sure how dynamic pricing works, but maybe you will get lucky.

I think it might be a sin to complain, so not to worry, I am merely noticing these things in an attempt to give credit to the venues that have outshone their peers in the face of egregious ticket prices and probably allegedly illegal business practices.

Marathon Music Works is one of such venues that have opted for the mythical once size fits all ticket price, and you can check out midwest mathy-emo icons American Football there on Wednesday.

Also on Wednesday at DRKMTTR, another venue with impressively static ticket prices, is an action packed lineup; Chicago-based noise rock project Latter is headlining, joined by local legends Dan Spencer and Waxed.

Bluegrass pioneer Larry Sparks plays The Station Inn on Friday, where tickets for every show are either $20 or $25 and cash is collected at the door by a nice lady. The way nature intended.

My Chemical Romance are headlining Nissan Stadium on Thursday and Foo Fighters with Queens of the Stone Age will be there on Saturday. British new wave band Squeeze play Ryman Auditorium on Sunday.
