Hello 👋🏻 from inside your trusted Pamphleteer events calendar! My name is Camelia, and I have been collecting all the best events for you since 2023. I have a penchant for bluegrass, post-punk, and 90's country and do my best to find a little something for everyone each day of the week here in Nashville.

If you have not done so already, please check out the 🎧 Spotify Pamphleteer's Picks playlist; I lovingly update it weekly with the best bands playing around town. It's an easy way to expand your horizons and find out if a band you might enjoy is playing this week.

Here are some highlights from the upcoming week:

Bloomington, Indiana shoegaze trio Just Penelope play The East Room on Monday.

On Tuesday, we have some high quality Canadian indie rock music with Metric, Broken Social Scene and Stars at Ryman Auditorium. "All The Feelings Tour" wants us to know these bands grew up together and are lifelong friends... which is a little suspicious if you ask me. (No one has!) I once spent a considerable amount of time likening the early 00's Toronto indie band invasion to that of Laurel Canyon in the 60's after falling down a David McGowan rabbit hole. Now I just assume any music I like is CIA funded, and things are much simpler that way.

Psychedelic music project Tame Impala are scheduled to play two sold-out shows at Bridgestone on Tuesday and Wednesday. Blues rock duo The Black Keys are headlining The Pinnacle on Thursday and Friday, and Vince Gill continues his residency at Ryman Auditorium Thursday through Saturday.

Nordista Freeze’s ‘The Cool Off’ is happening at The Blue Room on Saturday. Billed as a dressed-up, dance-ready night packed with vintage pop, psychedelic sounds and the kind of wildly energetic live show Freeze is known for.

The Beach Boys are NOT playing Ryman Auditorium on Sunday. This concert was postponed until October 11th. Did you know the late Brian Wilson's daughter Wendy Wilson was on an episode of Supernanny in 2008. I know this because Supernanny and Judge Judy are the only television I've watched for the past five years. You can glean a lot about basic human nature by watching people lie to a Judge or fail to successfully persuade a 2 year old child.

If you're now looking for something to fill The Beach Boys sized hole in your heart on Sunday, synth pop pioneer Howard Jones will be at Ascend Amphitheater.
