This week the Nashville Symphony continues Dolly Parton's Threads: My Songs in Symphony both Tuesday & Thursday at Schermerhorn Symphony Center for the forth week. The performance includes songs and stories behind Dolly's songs and will continue through Friday, July 31st. A nice way to get out of the heat, though Dolly Parton herself will not be at these.

Partake in some 00's indie nostalgia with Bloc Party on Wednesday at The Ryman. Speaking of the aughts, I have a loose theory that we hit peak indie music when Obama was elected for his first term and it will never return, but perhaps it was just that the world ended.

As always, there are several opportunities for some excellent bluegrass: Sierra Hull and Addie Levy both play this week... and much more!
