🎧 On Spotify: Pamphleteer's Picks, a playlist of our favorite bands in town this week.

Hello 👋🏻 it's Camelia again from inside your trusted Pamphleteer events calendar. If you have not done so already please check out the Spotify playlist above, I lovingly update it weekly with the best bands playing around town. As always, if you have an event you'd like to add to the calendar please email me here.

This week the Nashville Symphony continues Dolly Parton's Threads: My Songs in Symphony both Tuesday & Thursday at Schermerhorn Symphony Center for the fifth week. While she will not be there in person, the performance includes songs and stories behind Dolly's songs and will continue through Friday, July 31st.

Franklin songbird Ava Liv Mabry will be at Cannery Hall Monday, and Paul Simon headlines the First Bank Amphitheater on Wednesday.

Rock 'n roll dreamboat Hamilton Leithauser (of The Walkmen) is playing at The Basement East on Thursday — conveniently scheduled after The Pamphleteer's New American Frontiers event at The Eighth Room. However, I personally will likely be skipping over to Skinny Dennis for "The Yodeling Country Bluesman" Vaden Landers afterwards.

On Saturday, psych-rock guitarist Kurt Vile and the Violators return to The Ryman and Saddle Creek indie shoegaze band feeble little horse play The Basement East. I am suddenly reminded of a PC game called The Emo Game where it just depicted a menagerie of Saddle Creek musicians as insane alcoholics. I suspect a lot of millenial hardship may have been caused by misinterpreting satire as aspirational.
